After graduating with a Doctor of Optometry degree in 1999, Dr. Nevett worked at the Carl Albert Hospital in Oklahoma for the Indian Health Service for two years. Dr. Nevett has worked with refractive surgery and cataract patients for the past nine years in both the Dallas and Washington, D.C. areas. In addition to his clinical work, he has traveled on eye care mission trips to Mexico, Jamaica, Brazil, and Kazakhstan as the President of the Amigos Eye Care charity organization.
Dr. Nevett had the LASIK procedure in 2001, and he continues to enjoy the benefits of life without glasses.

Professional Awards and Achievements
Since graduation from Optometry school in 2004, Dr. Chawla has specializing in Refractive and Cataract surgery. She has also trained other Optometrists in refractive surgery pre-operative and post-operative care. In addition she has taught courses in LSAT, GMAT, and SAT test for Princeton Review. Dr. Chawlas was awarded the “Raving Patient Award” in 2007 for the highest level of patient satisfaction in her previous company.
Dr. Chawla has volunteered at the MD Andersons cancer center,House of Charity, Soup Kitchens, and has preformed vision screening for children at various elementary schools.
Kyle McKinnon, Patient Education Coordinator
Kyle attended the University of North Texas where he studied Business and Marketing. He has more than eight years of medical marketing experience with five of those years in LASIK and refractive surgery. Kyle has also been trained as an Ophthalmic Technician. With his thorough knowledge and expertise, Kyle guides his patients from the initial exam throughout the surgical process.
Patricia Estes, Office Manger
Ms. Estes brings more than 20 years of healthcare management experience to Tylock Eye Care and Laser Center. Ms. Estes' human resources experience has been centered around recruiting and hiring excellent clinicians and support staff to facilitate and support the physicians of the practice, as well as maintain fiscal responsibility. Ms. Estes is an effective manager who delivers consistent results.
William Chavez
William Chavez has over 10 years of personalized customer relations. His sole purpose is to walk you through the LASIK process and be a valuable resource. He will be there every step of the way to answer each and every question you may have. William believes in Patient Care and will demonstrate that from the moment he greets you. William has over 3 years of Optical experience and applies his genuine care to what he does on a daily basis.
