IntraLASIK Laser Eye Surgery – Serving the Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas Area

Tylock-George Eye Care and Laser Center is proud to offer Custom IntraLASIK, a form of LASIK laser eye surgery made possible by the Femtosecond laser, to patients in the greater Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas metropolitan area. IntraLASIK is the most proven, computer-controlled, all-laser technology, and it provides our patients with the safest, least invasive option in creating the corneal flap.

What is IntraLASIK Laser Eye Surgery?

In traditional LASIK surgery, the corneal flap is created with an instrument called a microkeratome and a metal surgical blade.

The microkeratome is a medical instrument that has overall produced excellent results for patients. Although rare, many serious complications that result from LASIK surgery have been a result from problems making the corneal flap with the microkeratome. IntraLASIK is a safer, more advanced alternative to traditional LASIK.

In IntraLASIK, instead of using the microkeratome, the flap is made with a computer-controlled Femtosecond laser that produces much safer and more dependable results.

With this advanced IntraLASIK procedure there is no surgical blade. Instead, a laser beam passes through the outer layers of the cornea to an exact focal depth predetermined by the LASIK eye surgeon — Michael R. George, M.D. The surgeon customizes each corneal flap according to an individual’s vision disorder and corneal anatomy. Then, the flap is folded back and an excimer laser reshapes the inner cornea to correct the patient’s vision.

The benefits of IntraLASIK are unparalleled safety for the patient and unprecedented control for the physician. Learn more about IntraLASIK laser eye surgery, the Femtosecond laser, and other laser eye care options by contacting our office near Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas today!
