Dr. Gary Tylock has more than 30 years of experience helping patients see better in the Dallas, Ft Worth area. With over 80,000 refractive surgeries completed, Dr. Tylock offers a wide range of vision correction procedures at the Tylock Eye Care and Laser Centers including: Custom IntraLASIK, Custom PRK, and Advanced Technology Lens Implants. Prior to every procedure performed by Dr. Tylock, his patients go through a one on one consultation in which determines which surgery is best for them. From there a customize plan is devised their vision correction.
As one of the first laser eye care centers not just in Texas but the United States to offer Custom IntraLASIK, every patient of Dr. Tylock receives the benefits of his experience with this state-of-the-art technology. Custom IntraLASIK involves the use of the Femtosecond Laser to create a corneal flap that then allows Dr. Tylock to reshape the inner layer of the cornea with an excimer laser to correction their vision with little risk.
PRK or Photorefractive Keratectomy is a predecessor to Custom IntraLASIK. Just like LASIK, PRK is used to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. However unlike LASIK, PRK does not involve the creation of a corneal flap to provide Dr. Tylock with the means of reshaping the cornea.
