Our Irving office serves our patients in the Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas area with the ReSTOR® lens. The ReSTOR® lens acts like two lenses in one. One is a refractive lens that is for distance vision, and the other focuses near vision by using a special set of graduated (apodized) rings in the center of the implant. ReSTOR® gives more consistent results and greater satisfaction to patients, who now can enjoy activities like reading, writing, and playing cards with minimal to no need of glasses after having had cataract surgery. Because the ReSTOR® lens doesn’t work with the muscles of the eye, it is not dependent on a mechanical process or the movement of the lens to give clear vision.
About the ReSTOR® Lens
The “ReSTOR® Advanced Technology Lens Implant” is part of the AcrySof® family of lenses manufactured by Alcon, which has an outstanding track record for successful innovation.
In fact, AcrySof® lenses are the most frequently implanted lenses in the world. Since 1990, more than 30 million AcrySof® lenses have been implanted in patients’ eyes.
