Permanent vision correction. One outpatient procedure.
LASIK (Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis) permanently reshapes the cornea using a precision laser so that light focuses correctly on the retina – eliminating or dramatically reducing your dependence on glasses or contacts. The result is stable, long-lasting clear vision.
At Tylock Nasser Vision, every LASIK procedure is customized to your unique eye anatomy using advanced diagnostic mapping. No two eyes are the same, and your treatment plan shouldn’t be either.
How the procedure works
Your surgeon creates a thin corneal flap using a bladeless femtosecond laser. An excimer laser then precisely reshapes the underlying corneal tissue based on your individualized treatment map. The flap is repositioned – no stitches required. Healing begins immediately.
Life without glasses or contacts
LASIK is one of the most studied elective procedures in medicine, with over 30 years of clinical data. The benefits extend well beyond not needing to search for your glasses in the morning.
Most adults qualify. A free consultation confirms it.
The only way to know for certain whether you’re a LASIK candidate is a comprehensive evaluation. Our free consultation takes about an hour and answers the question definitively – no obligation to book.

The most precise LASIK available in Texas
Not all LASIK is equal. The technology used determines the accuracy of your outcome. Tylock Nasser Vision was the first practice in Texas to offer Contoura Vision topography-guided LASIK – and we continue to set the standard for DFW.
LASIK has an exceptionally strong 30-year safety record
Millions of procedures performed globally over three decades have produced a very clear picture of LASIK outcomes. The data, peer-reviewed across hundreds of clinical studies, is consistently positive.
These figures reflect peer-reviewed clinical outcomes data. Common temporary side effects include dry eye and nighttime halos, which resolve for most patients within 3–6 months. See the complete LASIK risks and side effects guide →

Led by Dr. Taj Nasser, fellowship-trained refractive surgeon
Dr. Taj Nasser is a fellowship-trained refractive surgeon and one of only five EVO ICL surgical trainers in the United States. Having undergone LASIK himself, Dr. Nasser understands the procedure from both sides of the laser – a perspective that shapes every patient interaction and surgical decision.
Dr. Nasser is known for his meticulous surgical approach and his ability to customize treatment plans based on each patient’s unique corneal anatomy and visual goals. He is particularly skilled in complex cases where standard LASIK criteria don’t apply, ensuring patients who might be turned away elsewhere still find the right solution for their vision.
