Custom IntraLASIK Procedures with Renowned Eye Surgeon’s Michael R. George, MD – Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas

Choosing the right LASIK eye surgeon for your LASIK procedure is a very important decision. Despite what many eye centers may tell you, not all LASIK surgeons – or their facilities – are created equal. Not only does surgical experience play a critical role in your LASIK outcome, but also where it is performed, which laser technology is used, and the pre and post-operative patient management process.

Pioneering eye surgeon Michael George, MD is recognized as one of the country’s leading LASIK eye surgeons. As Medical Director and Chief Surgeon of the Tylock-George Eye Care & Laser Center near Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas, Dr. George has helped refine various laser eye care procedures that have improved the vision of millions of men and women worldwide. With over 40 years of combined experience – and contributions to the evolution of eye surgery – the team at Tylock-George’s primary concern has always been for the safety, well-being, and quality care of their patients.

Dr. Tylock also built one of the country’s first excimer lasers designed specifically for the LASIK procedure. This early involvement with his excimer laser and the FDA played a role in helping establish LASIK as the procedure of choice among both doctors and patients.

Extensive Research

LASIK eye surgeon, Dr. Gary Tylock, MD built one of the first excimer lasers used in the United States designed specifically for the LASIK procedure. In 1996, he was granted an IDE (Investigational Device Exemption) from the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) for his “Tylock Excimer Laser System”. This laser system was unique at this time because it was able to treat astigmatism and higher degrees of nearsightedness than were previously not approved by the FDA. Dr. Tylock also participated in the FDA research for approval of the VISX® excimer laser. Studies such as these helped to establish LASIK as the procedure of choice for vision correction.
