Diagnosis and Treatment of Ocular Disease Specialist
Dr. Sanchez is a Doctor of Optometry and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist focusing her practice on comprehensive eye examinations for the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association and Texas Optometric Association proficient with state of the art diagnostic equipment and treatment techniques to assess candidacy for cataract and refractive surgeries and she is trained to perform pre and post-operative care.
Dr. Sanchez received her optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2014. While there, she completed internships in both Oklahoma and Texas with ratings of outstanding. She gained clinical experience and expertise in anterior and posterior ocular disease, specialty contact lenses, primary care, pre and post-operative cataract and glaucoma surgeries, laser procedures, as well as specialty pediatrics and binocular vision.
Before starting her career in optometry, Dr. Sanchez received her Masters of Business Administration at Texas Woman’s University. She graduated with Summa Cum Laude and was awarded “Student Consultant Project of the Year” by the Small Business Institute. Dr. Sanchez graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Arlington, receiving her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. As a student in the top 1% at this university, she was selected as a university scholar.
